Foundation Course in Strain Psychology It’s quite straightforward to get started. Together with my AMIR (health and safety representative), I prepared the course over two days and spread the modules out over the days so that there was plenty of time. We’d decided that we wanted the course to be comprehensive and to allow plenty of scope for discussion and reflection. We had five groups of six to seven staff members each. We were all in the same room. Each day began with breakfast, after which I presented the course content and explained why we were there. There were four modules spread across each day. Good catering was provided, including breakfast, lunch and cake. All modules were covered in the same way:
– Videomodul
Since the course, several staff members have shared their reflections, which is a good thing. We have also already used the Red-Green-Blue approach on several occasions when discussing a patient where there might be something standing in the way of providing the correct help or offering each other support. I intend to follow up on the course days at a staff meeting and allow time for further discussion. And I’m actually thinking that some of this should be posted on our health and safety noticeboard.
