Courses in occupational psychology

The Department of Occupational Psychology has entered into a partnership with LearnX to offer training courses in occupational psychology; you can read more about this here. As part of this collaboration, a free film trilogy has been produced, in which you can learn, amongst other things, about the work of the occupational health and safety organisation and the dual role of managers in preventing mental strain.

You can access the trilogy here.

Stress Psychology Leadership®

Find the right balance when managing staff in mentally demanding roles. This course is designed for managers at all levels. You may be a manager of, for example, doctors and nurses, social workers, case workers, police officers, prison staff, war correspondents and photographers, psychologists, priests, educators, social and healthcare workers, emergency aid workers or others in high-risk mental health roles, including professionals working on climate change.

Prevention is a team sport, so it’s great if you can take part as a management team or in pairs. If that isn’t possible, you’re of course still very welcome to join the team. There are bound to be other ”solo leaders” there too.

Please note: This course is not aimed at self-employed health and safety consultants or management consultants.
