New Director at the helm of the Institute of Occupational Psychology

It is with great pleasure and pride that we are pleased to announce that Mette Obelitz, one of Denmark’s leading experts in market analysis, is to become the new director and partner at the Institute for Occupational Psychology. Mette Obelitz will be responsible for a comprehensive digitalisation of the company’s consultancy services.

Mette Obelitz is a psychologist and has, for 18 years, been the director and owner of Marketminds, which has carried out market analysis and strategy work for several of Denmark’s largest companies, with a particular focus on finance, media and medtech. She is now looking forward to leading the effort to help tackle one of the welfare society’s greatest challenges:

“The psychological working environment has finally come into focus, and every workplace has a responsibility to ensure a healthy and safe environment in which people can carry out their tasks and thrive in their work. Now, together with a fantastic team at the Department of Occupational Psychology, I will be developing and offering digital and realistic solutions at organisational, managerial, group and individual levels.”

The INSTITUTE FOR STRESS PSYCHOLOGY has seen a significant increase in demand for counselling over the last few years and therefore needs to expand its management team, says the institute’s founder, Rikke Høgsted, who is an expert in crisis and stress psychology:

“It must be possible for employees in mentally demanding jobs to cope and maintain a meaningful working life characterised by quality, safety and professional engagement. There is much that needs to be changed and improved so that we can move on from yesterday’s reactive fire-fighting and piecemeal solutions to a modern and proactive approach to prevention based on holistic, collective solutions. ”I am proud that, with someone as capable as Mette Obelitz, we can accelerate this vital change that we as a society so desperately need,” says Rikke Høgsted.
